DPPD's working group on Diversity and Inclusion
Survey on Experiences of Discrimination within the Fachgruppe
Introduction
The Diversity and Inclusion working group of Differentielle Psychologie, Persönlichkeitspsychologie und Psychologische Diagnostik (DPPD) Fachgruppe wants to document experiences of discrimination within the Fachgruppe.
Our goal is to identify and propose suitable measures to minimize potential discriminatory practices within the Fachgruppe.
The insights learned from this survey will be very important for that work.
On the following pages, you will be asked questions about your experiences of discrimination within the Fachgruppe. These include:
Part 1: Your experiences of discrimination and experiences of discrimination towards other people you know.
Part 2: Your perception of discrimination within the Fachgruppe.
Part 3: Obstacles to participation.
Part 4: Recommendations for improvement within the DPPD Fachgruppe.
The questionnaire will take about 4 minutes.
By discrimination, we mean personal experiences of:
• prejudice
• harassment
• microaggressions
• being disadvantaged
• general unequal treatment
Discrimination can be observed directly, such as being ignored at DPPD events because of how you look. Discrimination can be observed indirectly, such as not getting selected for a DPPD expert panel because of your last name. Discrimination can also due to structural designs, such as not being able to attend a conference because of insufficient childcare options or the personal financial costs were too high.
This survey is completely anonymous. No information is requested or recorded that could allow you to be identified. All answers to open questions are treated confidentially and results are communicated exclusively in an aggregated form.
We plan to present the aggregated results in a white paper to the DPPD Speaker Group. This paper will include suggestions on how the Fachgruppe can increase its own diversity and inclusivity, and promote these topics in a broader view.
